An early Hanzo concept, featuring elements of both Genji and Hanzo.Genji and Hanzo were originally envisioned as a single cyborg ninja hero named Hanzo who wielded both a bow and a sword, used parkour, and had an assassinate ability, using artwork for the Assassin class from the cancelled. They were split into two distinct heroes early in development. During development Hanzo was known as 'Bow Ninja' and Genji as 'Sword Ninja.' Both Genji and Hanzo's kits drew heavily from an early version of that predated both heroes, which resulted in the Sombra concept being temporarily shelved.Genji himself was originally conceived as a slow-moving stealth assassin with an ability that allowed him to trip an enemy, stunning them, and then instantly kill them with a sword strike 'finishing move' if another enemy didn't interrupt the attack, but this design was found to be unfun. At one point he was also given an Ultimate that would allow him to instantly kill an enemy from behind, which would have had unique stealth kill animations such as stabbing them in the back or cutting their throat. The lessons learned from this iteration of Genji were taken into consideration when developing Sombra as a stealth hacker.
Another early version of Genji was treated purely as a melee hero with his sword always drawn and the ability to stick to walls. Some of these abilities appear to be the basis for the enemy unit that appears in the event. The concept for Genji's new design in originated from the first storyboards for the cinematic, which depicted Genji appearing in a hoodie to rescue Winston. In the original storyboards he was wearing only a hoodie, causing the art team to realize that Genji had been naked this whole time and decide that if he's going to wear a hoodie he should also put on some pants., a concept artist for the Story and Franchise Development team, took that idea and fleshed out the design for the cinematic, and the development team liked it so much that they decided to bring it forward as his new design. Concept Art.
I am so sick of getting one-clipped, even when i’m near all 5 of my teammates. To think that she takes so much accuracy, it makes her a god tier character because of the immense damage she does.
You can literally get one-clipped as any character, and its so annoying. It is even worse when she gets pocketed or damage boosted, she is complete cancer. At this point, it is more impressive to see a Mei fill up the killfeed instead of Tracer.Console players get the help of aim-assist, and guess what that means? Yet, she can decide if its convenient to engage or not.The ones you just named, cannot, when they are engaged, is kill or be killed.Except genji, but he is weeb, for weebs, so who cares if its brokenMobility in this game is op, and instead of adding cancer characters that SHOULD be able to deal with it, they should nerf mobility. Makes 0 sense that snipers have more mobility than some first line dps.Makes even less sense that extremely high mobile characters with extremely tiny hitbox, have 4 teleports and one of them instal heal to full. In a reasonably high level game (say plat and above) there are no easy solo kills for Tracers. Yes, she is still good and can do a lot of damage, but she has to work so hard for each and every one of them. It’s not like spamming random shots with a Junkrat or Hanzo into a choke and maybe getting a kill.
Each time you dive in, you have to know where all the enemies are, so you don’t get surprised and instantly killed. And if she fails to one-clip someone and your healers are on point, she’s useless. Honestly she’s super frustrating to play right now, because you’re never rewarded for doing just okay. You have to be excellent or you’re useless. I understand the frustration but Tracer doesn’t deserve a nerf imho. She has to hit your head constantly, while keep moving (otherwise she’s toast), keeping in mind where she was 8 seconds prior and how much health she had (just spamming recall with get you nowhere in a mid-level game), avoiding hard cc (which is pretty common nowadays) and has to be relatively close.I think she’s fine, she requires skill and the better you get the better she does, while still being counterable by characters like Road or Brig and the likes. She is frustrating, zipping left and right, but it’s her identity.
OilyMidget:It’s not like spamming random shots with a Junkrat or Hanzo into a choke and maybe getting a kill.Yeah and the funny part is that because mercy has been “meta” in solo q for ages because of so many mercy OTPs you can actually get one shotted by dmg boosted junk or body shot from hanzo. Not to mention pharah for example as phara+mercy has been played for ever. And there is other things too. Zen is in meta atm heavily with mercy. If you get discorded and mercy dmg boosts the zen he can 1 shot you in the head. There is so many things that can kill tracer and she has to commit in close combat in order to do any dmg.
Her dmg 3 for longer range and that adds up to 120 per clip and her spread is so huge that she cant even hits all shots on a tank on longer range. And most tanks has armor so you basically do something like 45dmg per clip to a tank with armor from long range. Sound op right? (60 if you hit all bullets).
