Here's what I got from support. This did NOT work for me.-Thank you for contacting us today. The video stream inside thinkorswim is not compatible with Macs. However we have found a work around to allow you to get the video stream. If you are using Snow Leopard, then the first thing you must do is confirm that flip4mac is not on your computer. You can do this by going to the application folder and looking for a folder called Flip4mac.
If it is there then open the folder and run the uninstalled. If it is not, then we can move on to the next step. The feed will work using a media player called VLC media player. You can download this at the following link:You will need to download version 1.0.2.
It will not work with the new version and it is important that after you have it downloaded you do not accept the prompts to update. It will not work with any newer versions that I am aware of. Once this application is installed, you will need to launch the CNBC feed by clicking on the icon just to the right of the PLAY button on the CNBC gadget. This will launch the VLC player outside the platform and the video should play once you press the play button on the VLC player. This is the only known fix for Snow Leopard at this time.-For me, the app tries to launch windows media player from my VMWare applications folder.Let me know if you have any luck.
